Gudfaren 1 & 2, har sett alle tre filmene i sereien flere ganger enn noen andre, herlig.. Kan også nevne store filmer som
Scarface,
Kill Bill,
Pulp fiction,
Dum & dummere
og
Goodfellas.
Eternal sunshine in a spotless mind - a beautiful film. If we don't have our memories, are we truly ourselves?
City of God - Gangster/growing up film from one of Rio de Janeiro's slums. Gripping and thrilling.
The LotR trilogy - I love fantasy, and since these are the best fantasy films around...
Brotherhood of the Wolf - A brilliant French action film. The Atmosphere of this film is simply astonishing; you really feel as if you're in 18th century France. Exquisite.
The Amazing Amelié from Montmatre - another French one. One of my favourite comedies. Perfectly told, well filmed.
Chocholate - Not quite as good as Amelié, but it gives me almost the same feeling.
Loop - the philosophy of Arne Næss (father of Deep Ecology) mixed with new Norwegian music, extreme sports, and other people who have left 9-5 society.
Sleepy Hollow - I don't like scary movies, except this one.
From Hell - Bilbo will never be the same after this...
Star Wars, Episodes III-VI - I cried when I watched RotS...
Kingdom of Heaven - people says it sucks, but when I saw it at the cinema, it almost moved me to tears. The scene where Bloom's character dubs the entire army into knights, is one of my favourites of all time. Anarchism!
Gosford Park - a British criminal story, so complicated that I had to see it twice before I even understood what was going on...
Elizabeth - best historical drama I've seen.
Garden State - my favourite romantic comedy; it's like nothing else I've ever seen.
Being John Malkovich - Weird, weird, weird...
The Dirty Dozen - Saving Private Ryan can go **** itself - no WWII film is better than this one.
Sin City - Aesthetically wonderous.
Life under water with Steve Zissou - Funny, warm, and weird.
Down with love - This film takes every rom.com. cliché, and uses them all. And it actually works out really well.
Buffalo Soldiers - black comedy deluxe.
Crash - this film makes even Sandra Bullock act good...
Wallace And Gromit and the curse of the were-rabbit - funniest film I've seen in years.
Izzat - Norwegian film about a criminal gang of Pakistani immigrants. Violent and touching.
The Harry Potter films - The first two are a little silly, and lack substance, but the third one saves them all. Second best fantasy movie I know of.
Much ado about nothing - Kenneth Branagh's filmatizating from 1993, of Shakespeare's classic play. It's atmosphere is so gleeful, that you can't help but being affected by it.
These are only the good films I've seen this year. There's about thrice as many on my "real" list, but I don't have the time to think of them all.
Tillegg:
